Don’t Assume the School Has It Covered
International schools vary enormously in the quality of their IGCSE English provision. Some are excellent. Others — particularly in countries where English is not widely spoken — may have English teachers who are strong generalists but lack deep IGCSE-specific expertise. It’s worth asking specifically: does the teacher have experience with Cambridge IGCSE marking? Have they marked past papers? Do they know the assessment objectives?
